netLibrary Reference spans 27 subject areas, the netLibrary Reference Center collection offers instant access to valuable reference information on everything from agriculture to medicine to technology and more. The Reference Center Collection titles include:
- More than 100 subject-specific encyclopedias
- More than 70 dictionaries
- Ready reference materials
- A wide range of bibliographies, biographies, directories and guides.
Notice: NetLibrary books can be
actively viewed
(turning pages, searching within the full-text, etc.) in
15-minute
increments.
If you are not actively viewing the item, it returns to the list for
someone else to view. This means it could log you out of an e-book while
you are reading if you have not tuned a page within fifteen minutes.
netLibrary Reference Center can be accessed from anywhere with a valid APSU ID.
Using netLibrary Reference Center
Entry Search
The entry search limits your search to entry headings within Reference Center resources. Search Results list the entries or headings in the reference work that contain your search term.
Reference Center eBook Search
Reference Center eBook Search limits your search to only titles in the Reference Center collection and you may search using multiple fields (Title, Author, Full Text, Subject, ISBN) and Boolean operators (and, or, not).
Dictionary and Thesaurus Search
Look up any term in the dictionary using this search. Enter your term and select the resource in which you would like to look up the term. The definition will be displayed in the same area as the search box. A dictionary definition may include an audio icon, image, or pronunciation box.
Reference Center Browse
Using this Browse feature you can view a list of all titles included in the reference center collection by subject.
