Notification Concerning Software Included on Library Computers
by Request of Individual Faculty or Academic Departments
For the upcoming Fall 2011 semester,
Woodward Library will be updating the operating system on all
public access computers to Windows 7.
Due to the fact that some previously requested software is
either incompatible with Windows 7, ready for an update to a
newer version, or no longer used as part of academic
assignments,
library computer technicians will
only install software on library computers that has been
requested using the 2011 Academic Software Request Form.
If you have previously submitted a library software request and
need to make modifications or if you need to make a new request
for Fall 2011, please complete the 2011 Form at
http://library.apsu.edu/guides/2011SoftwareRequestForm.pdf
by August 5, 2011
and return it with required media /
documentation to Dominic Croll in the Woodward Library
Technology Resources Unit (Library RM 311).
Completed forms and required items can also be
mailed to:
Dominic Croll
Woodward Library
P.O. Box 4595
Clarksville, TN 37044
Please Note: In previous semesters, requested
software to support the curriculum has been installed on eleven
designated PCs in the Library InfoCommons. However, for Fall
2011, the Library will attempt to improve service by providing
access to the standard package, as well as requested software,
on as many public-access computers as possible.
Therefore, please indicate the maximum number of licenses that
are available for the software on the designated entry in the
request form.
A list of programs currently available on the standard and
specialized library PCs is available at
http://library.apsu.edu/library/3_4LICR.htm.
If you have questions concerning these requirements please
contact Dominic Croll at 931-221-7384 or
crolld@apsu.edu.
