Books, Reserve Materials and Videocassette tapes must be used in the

Obtaining Items Not On The Shelves (item
requests, holds, and searches)
-
When library materials cannot be found on the shelves, patrons should
inquire at the Circulation/Reserve Desk. A request or recall may
be placed on materials already checked out. If an item has been checked
out for more than 28 days, the borrower will be sent a notice requesting
that it be returned. When the material is returned, the requesting
patron will be sent a notice stating the item is being held at the
Circulation/Reserve Desk.
-
If the needed material is not checked out, the patron can fill out a
Search Card at the Circulation/Reserve Desk. A systematic search
for the items will be done for four consecutive weeks. When the material
is located, the requesting patron will be sent a notice stating the item
is being held at the Circulation/Reserve Desk.
-
If the requested material has not been found after the four week
search period, the patron will be notified that the material is assumed
lost. The patron may then wish to seek other means to obtain the
requested material.
Returning Items
-
There are two book drops available for returning library material
during hours when the Library is closed. One is located outside the
Library entrance and the other is located on the inner loop road between
the Library and the Clement buildings.
-
Reserve material must be returned to the Circulation/Reserve Desk
inside the library. The book drops are designed for the return of
library books only. The Library will not be responsible for other
material deposited in the book drops (e.g., video/audio cassettes,
records, kits and compact disks).
Fees
-
The Library does not charge overdue fines. Fees are charged for
replacement of lost or damaged materials. Library
materials are State property that, when on loan, are the responsibility
of the borrower. Replacement fees must be paid before additional materials
can be checked out or other library privileges can be restored.
-
You may pay your fees at the Circulation/Reserve Desk on Level 2
during the hours the library is open. Ask
to speak with a Circulation/Reserve supervisor. Fees may be paid
with cash or by personal check.
