The library has many resources and services available to faculty and
students involved in off-campus or online courses.
Library/Information Literacy Instruction
The APSU Librarians have experience teaching in the online
environment. Depending on the needs of your class, we can
supply you with instructional units, activities, and support for
teaching information access skills and other information literacy competencies.
Off-campus classes may schedule a face-to-face instructional
session with a librarian, or may use the strategies noted
above.
Contact Philenese Slaughter at

for more information, or use the
Request to
Schedule Instruction.
Ask A Librarian
Students (or faculty!) don't have to come to the Library's
Information Desk to get help from a librarian. E-mail and
real-time (chat) questions are answered through the
Ask A Librarian
service.
Online Resources
The library provides a wide variety of resources suitable for use in
class assignments. Here are some
alternatives to traditional research papers in
examples of
assignments using APSU resources.
Document Delivery
Distance students may request that items owned by APSU Library be
mailed to them using either the
ILL
Request Form. Distance students may use these same forms for
requesting material not owned by APSU Library.
Items not owned by the APSU Library may be requested by faculty via
ILL
Request Form. Faculty need to see their departmental library liaison
for a user id and password.
