to read. This series titled “In the Footsteps of Famous Women,” is
documented entirely in folder III.18 “writings by Dix” of this
collection.
2. From 1896 to 1936, 40 years of writings. Copies of clippings

Dix’s 40 years of writing; A Story Of War Times, How Chloe Saved the
Silver; samples of her Sunday Salad, Dorothy Dix Talks of Women We Know
and Woman Up To Date (the first assignments she had before starting the
column writings). Copy of a drawing of Dix as part of a full page

3. Album dedicated to Dorothy Dix as a remembrance of her visit to the
Philippines, August 2-6, 1931. Presented to her by the T.V.T.
