Correspondence between the Waggoners of Windy Wood, Tuxedo, North Carolina and Austin Peay State University administrators. Mrs. Joanne Hafner Waggoner (whos maternal grandmother Mary Patch was Dix’ sister) is the niece of A. Huntington Patch, nephew of Dorothy Dix. Dorothy Dix’ sister Mary Meriwether Patch is the mother of Mr. A. Huntington Patch. Letters acknowledge the final shipment of material to the APSU library for the Dix collection donated by A. Huntington Patch.

1. Letter to Mr. W. H. Waggoner acknowledging the receipt of ten books from Mr. A. Huntington Patch’s library. Nine of the books are by Harnett T. Kane and one book by Dorothy Dix, Mirandy Exhorts. Dr. Donald F. Joyce, library director, APSU, June 15, 1992 (2 pieces).

2. Letter to Susan Sparkman, acquisition librarian at APSU, explaining the content of the final addition to the Dix collection and that the two oil paintings promised to the library will instead be given to Elizabeth Patch of Clarksville as stated in Mr. A. Huntington Patch’s Last Will and Testament, May 31, 1988. Includes a listing of the ten book titles, article news clippings, gift of two candle sticks to Mrs. Rubye Patch of Clarksville, and the scrap book of original news clippings of articles written by Dorothy Dix. Scrapbook kept by Dix and later by A. Huntington Patch. W. H. Waggoner, Tuxedo, North Carolina, May 25, 1992 (4 pieces).

3. Letter to W. H. Waggoner welcoming him to the APSU library and to a reception in his honor on his forthcoming visit to Clarksville. Dr. Donald F. Joyce, library director, APSU, December 13, 1991.

4. Letter to Susan Sparkman, APSU acquisition librarian, stating the forthcoming donation of the promised two oil paintings, books and article news paper clippings of Dix’ writings. Wm. H. Waggoner, Tuxedo, North Carolina, December 6, 1991 (2 pieces).

5. Letter to Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn T. Patch, Clarksville, Tennessee expressing sympathy upon the death of A. Huntington Patch. Oscar C. Page, APSU president, November 20, 1991.
