Kebede Hundie Wordofa

Systems & Data Visualization Librarian

As System Librarian, Kebede is responsible for managing and maintaining the library's core systems and platforms, which include Ex Libris Alma, Primo VE (PeaySearch), the Library Mobile App, the interlibrary loan system (ILLiad), and the library's online file-sharing system. His duties include system management, configuration, troubleshooting, and providing technical support to ensure seamless access to essential library resources and services that support the university's teaching, learning, and research activities.

Reporting to the Director of Library Services, Kebede collaborates with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and serves as the primary liaison for various library system vendors. He ensures system interoperability, implements upgrades and new features, and maintains accurate, up-to-date user accounts in the library systems.

In addition to his role as System Librarian, Kebede also serves as Data Visualization Librarian, where he creates, interprets, and presents the library’s data through visual formats to assist in decision-making.

Furthermore, Kebede serves as the Subject Librarian for the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology. He teaches information literacy sessions for University Success and liaison department courses, and he performs all aspects of research assistance and reference services.
