Athenaeum Proposal Forms are available
here
The purpose of the Library Athenaeum is to host events
that promote and enhance the intellectual life of the
University and the region. These events may include
presentations, lectures, panel discussions, debates,
artistic performances, readings, and other educational
experiences. Presenters are retired and current faculty members,
administrators, staff, students, alumni, and community
members.
By bringing together scholars, performing artists,
students, and community members to participate in the
exploration of ideas and the sharing of cultural
experiences, the Library Athenaeum reflects the
importance the University places on the facilitation of
teaching, learning, and understanding, both in and out
of the classroom.
The Library Athenaeum is located on the third floor of
the
Felix G. Woodward Library. The location will seat
approximately 100 people. Athenaeum events are
generally scheduled on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m.; however,
schedule variations do occur and are announced on this
website and via signs in the Library.
Athenaeum Presentation Proposal Forms are available
here. This form may be completed and submitted via
email, mailed to PO Box 4595, or
delivered to Woodward Library 223.
