several collections, including Reference, General Book, University
Archives & Special Collections, African-American and others.
To locate a book in the
Library’s Book Collection, use the call number you find in
Austin (Library Catalog).
Be sure to

Note the book’s collection and location, which are listed in the
"Collection" box.
EXAMPLES:

Make sure the book is not checked out or missing by noting the
information in the Status box.

Books are arranged within each collection by their call numbers
which begin with alphabetical letter or letters A to Z.
Go to your book’s location, and use the call number to

Find the section of alphabetical letter or letters

Within that section, locate the number

Within that number, find the letters/numbers after the
decimal point/s
If you cannot find your book or have questions, go to the Information
Desk on Level 2. |
