Contemporary Literary Criticism (CLC) is an extensive collection of full-text critical essays about novelists, poets, playwrights, short story writers, and other creative writers who are now living or who died after December 31, 1959.  Each CLC entry contains a biographical/critical introduction, listing principal works and sources for further study.

Essays from the Contemporary Literary Criticism database are now only contained within the Literature Resource Center.  Searching for authors and titles within this database will return results from the CLC database combined with items from other sources.
