The primary purpose of the
World History in Context
is to provide students, their
teachers, and library patrons with a single place to begin researching
the vast topic of world history from B.C. to the present.
Formerly titled
History Resource Center:
World,
World
History in Context
is now a portal product. This means it goes beyond
simple search and retrieval to providing context through
comprehensive topic overviews and the integration of
reference materials with journals, magazines,
newspapers, images, video and other content formats to
fully aid the discovery, evaluation and application of
information. At launch, more than 1,800 portal pages
will be available. For more information about this
transition see
