Using Hoover's Pro Online
Basic Search
Type in your search term(s), select desired radio button, and click
the Search button. Advanced Search
The Advance Search features allows you create lists of
companies, executives, business news, and stocks that meet a
common set of criteria such as geographic location, SIC or NAICS
codes, industry name, number of employees, sales, net income, R&D
expense, etc. Advanced Searches are available from the Hoover's homepage
or from the Tools menu listed on the left-hand frame of subsequent result
page(s). Browse
You can browse the Hoover's database by:
- Companies A-Z
- Companies By Geography
- Industry
- Business Boneyard (defunct businesses)
- Companies By Stock Index
Printing & Emailing
The Tools menu in the left-hand frame of a results page lists
printing and email options. When the "Print This Page" option
is clicked, the text is formatted into a printer-friendly format; then
click the "Send To Printer" button. With the "E-Mail This
Page" option, the URL to the article in the Hoover's database is
emailed to the recipients listed in the "E-Mail This Page"
window.
