Use Wireless Printing

Wireless Printing will enable you to print to a Woodward Library Printer from anywhere an Internet connection is available.  This means you will have the ability to print to the library while using your laptop within the library, while using your dorm room computer, or even while using a computer from remote locations away from campus.  You will have one hour to retrieve your print job once it has been submitted.

Off campus users will be required to log-in using his or her library ID to access wireless printing services.

Please remember that this program processes print jobs through an internet connection and not the library print server.  Therefore, it may take several minutes for large files to appear at the print release station.

How to Use Wireless Printing:

Note: If you are printing a file such as a Microsoft Word document or PowerPoint presentation please save or rename the file on your computer with a unique name such as your last name combined with document title (ex: SmithResearchPaper).  Your print job will only be identified by the name of your document.

Important (3-11-2008): Microsoft Office 2007 documents are now supported with the exception of XPS.

1.  Click on the link to "Use Wireless Printing" above.

2.  Type "APSU" into the ENTER USER INFO box.

3.  Use the browse button provided to find name of your uniquely titled document from your computer or enter the URL address (ex: http://www.apsu.edu) of a web page you want to print.

4. Click on the arrow icon located at the bottom of the page.

5.  On the Printing Options page that appears, select the document type that most closely matches what you need to print and then choose from the available options listed on the screen.

6. Click the print icon  .

7.  On the DOCUMENT STATUS screen wait until you see a message that confirms  "Your request has been processed" and record the tracking number provided to identify your print job in case of a problem.

You will now have 60 minutes to release your print job at the library (Print jobs not released within 60 minutes will be cancelled).

8.  Go to the wireless printing station located near the library entrance and select the title of your submitted document from the Print Release Station.  Click "Start Printing".
