How to Search NewsBank

To Search:

Click on the title of the desired newspaper

Keyword Search

  • Enter search phrase or word in the "Search" box
  • Choose the date range to search (optional)
  • Click "Search"
  • Choose how to sort your results
    • Best Matches First will list articles by how many times your search phrase appeared in the article.
    • Most Recent Matches First will list articles by most recent date of publication

Things You Won't Find in NewsBank:

  • pictures, charts, graphs
  • syndicated columns (Dave Barry, Dear Abby, etc.)
  • articles by free lance writers
  • stock quotes
  • sports box scores
  • advertisements
  • classifieds
  • SOME newswire stories (those written by the Associated Press, etc.)
