Search Newspaper Source


Newspaper Source
provides selected full text for nearly 30 national (U.S.) and international newspapers, including USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post, The Times (London), The Toronto Star, etc. The database also contains selected full text for more than 200 regional (U.S.) newspapers, including The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, The Detroit Free Press, The Miami Herald, The New York Daily News, The San Jose Mercury News, etc. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are provided from CBS News, FOX News, NPR, etc.

Searching

Enter your terms in the Find field. You can use Boolean operators (and, or, not) with your search. If available, field codes and search history may also be selected.

On the Refine Search sub-tab, select any search options you want. You can use limiters or expanders to broaden or narrow the focus of your search.

Click Search. The results of your search are displayed.

Results

Many databases present results by source type. You can click on the source icons to view your results by source type (periodicals, newspapers, etc.). 

Where a "Sort by" drop-down list is available, you can re-sort your results by author, date, relevance, etc.

To print, e-mail or save several search results at once, you must add them to your folder.
 

You may access Newspaper Source from on campus or from off campus with an APSU ID.
