Before entering an order request, you may want to consult the following sources.

• Check the Library's online catalog (Felix) to be sure we do not already own the title.

• Confirm the bibliographic information such as title, author, ISBN at Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble or some other book vendors.

• Check book reviews also at Amazon.com

• Check book and publisher information at Books in Print

The Woodward Library is implementing a new process to request books. It is using a website called Blackwell's Collection Manager. The URL to this database is

 http://cm.blackwell.com 

Each department's faculty liaison will be given an appropriate login to this database. The benefits to this database will be quicker ordering of items and quicker receipt of items at the Woodward Library. This database will allow users to search for titles and simply REQUEST them. There will be less need to type in book information; most items to be requested will already be in the database.
