Before requesting a DVD/Video purchase for the Woodward Library,  you should consult the following sources.

• Check the Library's online catalog, Austin, to be sure we do not already own the title.

• Confirm the information at hand such as title, creator, ISBN at  reputable sources such as Amazon.com, Movies Unlimited, films.com, Insight Media, etc

• Check video and DVD reviews also at Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble

The Woodward Library is requesting any and all video/dvd purchase requests be handled as follows:

A copy of the video/dvd alert/catalog page/catalog/Internet page is sent to the appropriate subject librarian with the requested item circled or highlighted in some way. There must be enough information that the librarian can locate the item from an appropriate source. The acquisitions staff needs to know what vendor has the video/dvd and needs to know what specific item is being requested.

This information shows what is to be ordered, how much it is, who has it and how to find the item from the vendor source.

Any Video/DVD request that does not provide enough information will be returned to the appropriate department.
