Items not owned by the APSU Library can
be requested from other libraries through a process called Interlibrary
Loan. You do not have to identify which library has the item before
requesting it. Most items requested from other libraries are received in
2-10 working days.
How to Request an Item from Another Library
Students:
- Identify needed item through a database, catalog,
index, or bibliography.
- Determine if APSU
owns the needed item:
Requests for items held at APSU will not be filled.
- Request forms are available online at Request
& Forms.
- No charge for the first 25 requests each
semester.
- When received, articles may be sent to your
campus P.O. box or held at the Circulation Desk for pick up. Books
will be held at the Circulation Desk for pick up.
Faculty/Staff:
- Identify needed item through a database, catalog,
index, or bibliography.
- Determine if APSU
owns the needed item:
Requests for items held at APSU will not be filled.
- Request forms are available online (ILL
Request).
- No charge for the first 25 requests each
semester.
- When received, photocopies will be sent to your
office and books will be held at the Circulation Desk for pick up.
