Request Items From Other Libraries (ill)

Items not owned by the APSU Library can be requested from other libraries through a process called Interlibrary Loan. You do not have to identify which library has the item before requesting it. Most items requested from other libraries are received in 2-10 working days.

How to Request an Item from Another Library

Students:

  • Identify needed item through a database, catalog, index, or bibliography.
  • Determine if APSU owns the needed item:
Requests for items held at APSU will not be filled.
  • Request forms are available online at Request & Forms.
  • No charge for the first 25 requests each semester.
  • When received, articles may be sent to your campus P.O. box or held at the Circulation Desk for pick up. Books will be held at the Circulation Desk for pick up.

Faculty/Staff:

  • Identify needed item through a database, catalog, index, or bibliography.
  • Determine if APSU owns the needed item:
Requests for items held at APSU will not be filled.
  • Request forms are available online (ILL Request).
