The Science Direct College Edition journal
collections are available to search through the
SciVerse ScienceDirect iPhone app. This includes the
Social & Behavioral Sciences Journals, the Health &
Life Sciences Journals, and the Physical Sciences &
Engineering Journals Collections.
How do I authenticate?
Step 1. Tap on the ScienceDirect
app.
Step 2. The login screen will
appear. Enter your username and password that
you use for ScienceDirect desktop version. If you
don’t have this, go to ScienceDirect.com and
register there first.
Step 3 Enter your email address.
This is the institutional email address your
ScienceDirect account is linked to. Then tap
‘login’. Yahoo and Gmail email addresses will not be
accepted.
Step 4. A pop-up will appear at the
bottom of the screen explaining the email address
you supplied has not yet been validated. To continue
to login tap ‘Send email’.
Step 5. A new pop-up called ‘Email
sent’ will appear explaining that the validation
email has been sent to your inbox. The app may stay
open, although without validation you may have to
enter your login details again.
Step 6. An email to validate your
email address has been sent to the inbox of your
institutional email address. Click the link to
validate your email address.
Step 7. A window will open in your
internet browser letting you know that your email
address is confirmed and validated.
Step 8. You are then taken to the
first page of the ScienceDirect app.
