Nancy Gibson
Grants and Special Projects Librarian and Professor
Nancy serves as the Grants and Special Projects Librarian. She identifies funding opportunities and oversees proposal development to secure grants enabling innovative services, spaces, and educational impact. Serving as the Woodward Library's grants expert, Nancy partners across campus to conceptualize projects focused on pioneering new library services, technologies, and facilities to enrich teaching, learning, and research. Leveraging excellence in research, writing, data analysis, and project management, then she secures external funding that allows the academic library to implement cutting-edge initiatives, creative programs, and inspiring spaces that amplify the Library’s educational role on campus.
Nancy serves as the Subject Librarian to the Criminal Justice, Leadership and Organizational Administration, Political Science and Public Management, Social Work, and Sociology Departments; teaches Information Literacy sessions for University Success and liaison department courses; and performs all aspects of traditional and electronic reference services.
