Services for Off Campus Students
The following information is for students who are taking classes at locations other than the Clarksville Campus. This includes students at Fort Campbell, in dual enrollment programs, and taking classes online.
Getting Help
Ask the InfoHub: Students do not have to come to the Woodward Library to get help from the library. You may ask a library staff member for assistance by email, online chat, text, or phone.
How to Guides include information about citing your sources, using the RefWorks citation management tool, the research process, evaluating sources, the difference between popular magazines and scholarly journals, avoiding plagiarism, and other useful tips and techniques.
Video Tutorials provide information about library services and resources, avoiding plagiarism, and using the APA style guide.
Research Guides are located on the Library’s website to assist students with selecting the best resources to complete assignments and research projects.
Online Resources
Electronic Resources: Woodward Library provides a wide variety of web-based resources to support teaching, learning, and research. Currently enrolled APSU students may use the Library’s online resources from home, work, school, or wherever they have an internet connection.
To access the Library’s online resources, use the Article Databases webpage and select the database you want to use. When you click on the link, if you are on campus you will be connected directly to the database.
If you are off campus you will see the Remote Access (Remote Patron Authentication) login screen with instructions prompting you to log in. Your login credentials are your OneStop login and password.
If you followed the steps above and are still unable to connect, contact the Library’s Access Assistance Desk at 931-221-7978 or via email.
Borrowing and Lending
Borrowing Books & A/V Materials: Students at locations away from the Clarksville Campus may request books, government publications, and audiovisual materials from the Library’s collection to be mailed to them. Note that this service is available only to students at the Fort Campbell Center, dual enrollment high school sites, and students taking online classes who live more than 50 miles away from the Clarksville Campus.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL): If the Library does not have an item you need, you may request it via the ILLiad interlibrary loan service. Note that shipping times may be a week or more, because items have to be shipped to the Woodward Library and then mailed to you. Students are responsible for double-checking their address information, the expense of mailing items back to the Library, and for ensuring that materials are received back at the Woodward Library by the due date. Overdue items are subject to a late fee.
