Michael Hooper

Electronic Resources Librarian

Michael's duties include developing, maintaining, and assessing the library's collection of databases, electronic books, and electronic journals. He serves as administrator for the library's collection of online research guides (LibGuides) and manages the EZproxy system for providing remote access to library resources. He maintains the APSU OER Hub and manages transformative agreements for library databases that allow faculty members to publish their articles Open Access with no author processing charges. In addition, he manages the LibCal room reservation / appointment system and the LibInsight system to record library usage statistics and other analytics data.

Michael also serves as the Subject Librarian to the Department of Music and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
