Articles with photos and writings by Dix Newspaper clippings and photographs.

1. Newspaper clippings of the articles Dix wrote while traveling in Egypt and the Middle East. Includes a map of the desert route taken by Dix from Damascus to Baghdad. No documentation, but clippings are easy to read. This series titled “In the Footsteps of Famous Women,” is documented entirely in folder III.18 “writings by Dix” of this collection.

2. From 1896 to 1936, 40 years of writings. Copies of clippings depicting a few highlights of Dix’s work. Summary by Margaret Dixon on Dix’s 40 years of writing; A Story Of War Times, How Chloe Saved the Silver; samples of her Sunday Salad, Dorothy Dix Talks of Women We Know and Woman Up To Date (the first assignments she had before starting the column writings). Copy of a drawing of Dix as part of a full page article on her in the Herald, 1906.

3. Album dedicated to Dorothy Dix as a remembrance of her visit to the Philippines, August 2-6, 1931. Presented to her by the T.V.T. Publications. Includes photographs and newspaper clippings. Some articles are in Spanish. Very good depiction of her visit to the Philippines in good photographs showing Dix with lovely local prominent women and with her friend Mrs. Nolte who accompanied Dix on this trip, 1931.
