1. “Four Women Writers of 19th Century New Orleans,” by Danella Hero, writer-producer. Dix is one of the four writers portrayed in the special local TV program. The four women depicted (in order of appearance) are: Eliza Poitevant Nicholson (Pearl Rivers), newspaper publisher and poet; Kate Chopin, novelist and short story writer; the prolific writer Grace King; and Dorothy Dix, journalist and syndicated columnist. Fine Hour of TV Program, January 24, 1988.

2. Local literary ladies’ place, by David Cuthbert. Review of the film states that the Dix segment is sketchy where Mrs. Nicholson’s (who hired Dix) is rich and colorful. Times-Picayune, January 24, 1988.
